Can't use 128x res anymore

Is this a feature? Cause before I updated to 1.12 I'm able to use 128x res. But now I'm stuck on 64x when i try using 128x it says my device doesnt have enough memory I'm still using the same device ipad pro 11".

We haven't changed anything recently in this regard.

The only thing I can suggest is to make sure you have no other heavy RAM using apps open whilst you play Minecraft.
