I love this texture pack and used it a lot when I was younger and I recently got it on bedrock, mainly for nostalgia, but also because I liked the textures. However since I used it in the past many of the blocks and items have changed such as lava and villagers, I noticed there is a customiser for the java version and was just curious if there were plans to have a similar thing on bedrock. If there are no plans then should I just make a resource pack myself with the old textures, in which case I would have done that from the start and saved myself the money for more customisability but I prefer to support the people who work hard for the things i enjoy rather than just pirate it for free

The Java customiser uses Minecraft's model system to change most of the textures. The average patch filesize is less than 1MB.

Currently Bedrock has no way to do change block textures simply like that, so it's currently not something we can do.

In that case, am I allowed to create my own resource pack with the selected textures I like? Not the full sphax but a few of them such as all jawa villagers and the old lava style.

Edit: could you not do something similar to how you included the GUI textures and have an individual pack with just the old textures? I'm aware that would be a gargantuan task but it is just a suggestion given the limitations on bedrock

You can do what you want as long as you don't share the pack you create publicly.

It's not really gargantuan, just not practical. Yea, it'll sate what you want, but not everyone just wants "old textures".

Ok thank you for your input. I've spent time creating my own personal resource pack with my favourite old textures from sphax and use it in conjunction with the official ones from the marketplace and it works well... now if only the animations worked properly on bedrock rather than just when the player is nearby, I know this is a fault on Microsoft's end but it is so annoying to slowly see textures fade into animation.

On another note, is there an estimated release date for the pure sphax 1.15 textures?

1.14* and it really depends on how long it takes Microsoft to verify the content of the pack. Timescale varies wildly.
