What about the dots? Any solution? :(
Download PureBDcraft for MC1.8 and copy /assets/minecraft/textures/font/ascii.png to your resourcepack. It's just a case of a dot being put in a silly place on that file.

Alternatively, you can try to just use the entire PureBDcraft MC1.8 resourcepack instead of the MC1.6 one. I think the only thing that has changed (besides new textures) is the steve.png layout.
Hi everyone. So I landed in this forum when looking for a way to get rid of the dots on the ComputerCraft terminals. I took the ascii.png file from the MC14w06b Version. (since the link mentions 1.8 - https://adf.ly/564553/spbdc-32-mc18)

I'm not sure if I got the wrong file, but replacing the ascii file... well it fixed the dots but the alignment of text is way off on some characters. I am using the x32 version.

Any tips on this would be appreciated. :)
Cheers

The bad spacing is the fault of ComputerCraft. It doesn't like custom fonts. At least not the PureBD one. Not sure if others work.

So you either need to suffer the odd spacing, or just entirely delete the ascii.png so you fall back to MC default.

Maybe CC will change it at some point.

The latest version of ComputerCraft supports HD fonts :)

I'm a complete noob to how resource packs work. I learned some from this process and just ended up installing photoshop (I had no other apps that can handle transparency) and I just edited that ascii file and took out the dot myself. Now the fonts are aligned neatly (since i used the older version) and no more dots yaaay! It was really annoying when using advanced computers and loading an OS on them, every blank space on the screen was a dot lol.

edit: I would normally just update to the newer CC but I'm using it as part of Tekkit and need to keep it as is, since I'll be turning the world I use into a server and I need to have the mod version remain as isso people can connect with the default Tekkit client.

Considering the only difference between MC1.6 and MC1.8 PureBD ascii.png is the grey border it seems odd that it'd make such a comparable mess.

As long as you got it to work, I guess...

I found a fix for the font alignment problem -- it's an alternate HD font that minimizes the effect. https://www.craftau.com.au/threads/compu ... lved.3584/
