Could you pay some attantion to the fir log texture?
To be more specific, i am not about quartered fir logs, but about single-block texture.

I think the scarecrow's stick needs split in two:

(I didn't actually look, I'm just assuming.)

I tested it in game before I released and it renders correctly.

The long, unbroken bar is the top and bottom of the arms, whilst the bottom bar wraps around the edges.

Oh, it's not that it needed moving at all just splitting in half.

Fixed now.

I did think when I did the scarecrow a week or so ago that I should really give it arm holes...

I added a melon hole in the bottom too for its hopping stick ;)

*EDIT: Somehow missed all the 1x1 Fir logs :| Fixed that, too now.

I love your mod... couldn't live without! <3

I dunno if I should create a new thread for this but here I go

I've been trying to install the BDCraft patch for ExtrabiomesXL 3.14.0 on Minecraft 1.6.2. It all works just fine except some of the textures from the BDCraft patch won't work while some will work. After some fiddling inside the files (and an hour of existential questioning), I found out the names of said textures inside the patch don't match those inside the mod... Reverting the names to whatever the mod is using solved it (like in the /block folder : 'purpleflowers'->'lavender', 'orangeflowers'->'buttercup', 'leavesyellow'->'leavesyellowautumn', etc etc etc). Also, it took me another hour to realize the folder of the patch itself has capitals in its name that prevent the patch be applied at all ('ExtrabiomesXL'->'extrabiomesxl'). Same on all versions (16x, ...).

Extra bonus question : is it normal the cypress and a couple of other trees don't have patched textures?

Just to let you guys know...

--

update: just realized the version on the forum is the correct one (3.14.x) whereas the version from https://bdcraft.net/patch-details?i=17-ExtraBiomesXL is the outdated 3.13.4. Disregard whatever I said, it's all good -- the links should be updated though....

Meh, those pages need their links removing and just pointing to threads.

It's too much hassle to update them when the forum changes so often especially as people update silently sometimes.

Yeah in this case the extra modularity is not needed, it is instead redundant. I've been wondering about that for a while now, why even have a second page that is exactly the same as the other except it doesn't have a comment trail after it. If that page should exist at all it should exist as a mirror image of the first post in the thread. Though I did notice most of the links from the patches page do provide installation instructions for the uninitiated ... perhaps that is more there purpose ... to help the noobs, but then why not just require the installation instructions to be added to every patch .... that makes more sense, and it is a simple copy and past for the thread posters. It might also stop all the "my game is broken, why don't the textures show" threads that pop up in the support section from incorrectly patched packs, well maybe not stop, but at least stem the flow.

To save you all from the wall of text I put it in spoilers :p.
Add *sarcasm* tags around everything I say. If that doesn't help *insane in the membrane* works even better. For example: *sarcasm* Mewcats go mew, thought you ought to know *sarcasm*
