Metallurgy Ender Armor AND MAYBE MORE

HEY so i really loved the metallurgy mod and the texture made by MrTylon, but i was very disappointed that it was incomplete, so i decided to try and finish it myself.

This is my first time texturing and i it came out pretty well. I have ONLY done the ender armors so far because i wanted to know what ALL OF YOU THOUGHT ABOUT IT.

Please let me know if you want me to do the Nether and Precious armors as well, if you think these came out well then I WILL do the rest, but i do not want to if you guys do not like my work so far, and we can leave it up to someone more talented.

Show
QUICK GUIDE: this is JUST an addition to MrTylons mod, so INSTALL THAT FIRST. Once you've done that, ONLY FOUR of the files here will go in:

(USERNAME)>Library>Application Support>Minecraft>resourcepacks>Sphax PureBDcraft>assets>Metallurgy>armor.

Those are the Desichalkos_1, Desichalkos_2, Eximite_1, Eximite_2 files. the rest, the 8 files that are the boots, legs, chest and helmet files will go in the

(USERNAME)>Library>Application Support>Minecraft>resourcepacks>Sphax PureBDcraft>assets>Metallurgy>textures>items>Ender.

this is all for x128, and 1.6.4 i think, at least that is what i made it for. i really do not know how this works so any problems with other versions let me know.
IVE ADDED THE PRECIOUS ARMORS! I HOPE YOU LIKE THEM!

I don't think you need (USERNAME)>Library>Application Support>, just Minecraft and onwards otherwise it may get confusing.
You should use a download button for the download too.

Here is an example.
[Down-load]128x 1.6.4[/down-load]
Copy this and remove the hyphens from both download codes.
If you need anymore help with BBcodes see this
Thanks for the effort :)

In that same thread it says that there's a code bbcode, too, so you can do this when explaining codes:

Code: Select all

[download][link=URL]{RES}[/link][/download]
Also, you said just remove the hyphens, but you put a capital D, too.

@ashow9: There's no need to make a new WIP for an existing patch.

As MyTylon isn't on the forum it's unlikely you'll be able to contact him. So, if no one has his working files you won't be getting those, if that's what you're after.

If you finish the missing bits and feel you can be dedicated enough to continue updating as necessary we can give you ownership of the thread.

you said something about an existing patch? does that mean someone has already made the other textures that MrTylon didnt?

as for ownership, if there isnt already someone whose made the missing textures, id like to know if anyone actually LIKES the textures i made. if they do, and they like the rest, id gladly take over the thread, if not, i dont think i should.

thank you for the reply and the advice on how to properly format things that was super awesome of you guys to do :D thank you for editing my post so it doesnt look like crap! all i really need now is someone else to take a look at my work, perhaps put it into thier minecraft texture pack and see how it looks/works and say if they like it or hate it, so i can decide to finish it off or not.

Evenas98: thanks for taking a look! As for you're edit input you're very right, I noticed all those things, but I honestly don't know how to do much better. I'm currently getting the colors by taking a tool from a metal that has no armor, like eximite, and an armor with a similar color from, say, the fantasy metals, putting them on GIMP and using "match color" and hoping for the best. If you know a better way to get the colors to match I am all ears, and I mean that in the best way, I'm very new to this.

I also don't know how to get into the BDcraft customizer due to their being "too many re-directs" and I don't know how I can fix that, maybe that will be able to get me better colors.

Regardless, thanks a lot for testing them out, as soon as I find a better way to color them and make the tools and armors match, I'll update the downloads.

I can do it. In photoshop it's super easy.
Just put one picture over the other and do a colour overlay and use the colour dropper to select the colour. Really simple recolouring.

So you know if that is possible in gimp? And thank you for offering, if I can't find a way to do it I'll definetly ask but I kinda want to do it!

One thing I have no clue on how to texture is the mint in this mod, if anyone could do that then that would be really helpful

Great! Can you do that with all of the ender, precious, and nether armors? Or just the ones that I've started? If you can color them I can do the rest
