@Turninator95: I downloaded the 64px version from OneDrive, and the archive is missing almost all of the .mcmeta files for the animated textures.

Also be aware the archive includes a few of Sphax's original textures (see: assets/minecraft/textures/...) which, I understand, are not to supposed to be redistributed with any patch.

@seraku: The mcmeta files will be added, sorry about that. The files in the minecraft folder are from some mods and are necessary.
@Gopher847: Are you using Java 64 bit?

You should be aware that loading the texture pack can take a very long time. I have a relatively high-end system, and it takes 3-5 minutes to load the 128x pack. On a side note, does anyone know of a way to speed that up at all?

Another bug in the texture pack I've noticed is that mobs, players, and, interestingly, chests will sometimes be missing parts (limbs, torsos, lids), and my friend who has the same pack is having a texture flickering problem. These this may be a bug with OptiFine though.

You're right. Optifine isn't compatible with quite a few mods. Tinkers' Construct is the one that springs to mind primarily for missing limbs.

Generally HD patchers need to be avoided now whilst playing modded Minecraft. They're just too hacky to work well.

Turns out if I use Optifine HD rather than Optifine HD Ultra, it fixes the problem.

I have waited, it just goes still for a moment to start to load, then stops, still on vanilla graphics and lets me hit done and such. I checked and re-checked that I did the instructions right. I done this before with other patches and they work. I tried the 64x and the mod graphics changed but not vanilla, and not all the graphics were working right.

@Turninator95: Animated textures working now, many thanks!

Regarding the original textures, I should have been more specific. Sphax includes the armors from The Aether mod (Gravitite, Neptune, Obsidian, Phoenix, stone and Zanite) as part of the base resource pack, as of MC16 at least. Each armor type has two textures, and these were the only files that were included in the patch as well, which resulted in unexpected overwrite prompts.

I updated to version 2.8.7.5 and now the oil, sludge etc. I find and all the molten ores in the smeltery, plus the smeltery control has the "no texture" on them. Did some ID's change or what happened?

EDIT: I downloaded the patch from OneDrive and replaced that with the one from Google Drive and all have textures again.

Sorry about that my Google Drive seems to have some issues.
Edit: Google Drive is now working again.
