DNS Techpack

DNS is a modpack that uses mostly technical type mods and a few others thrown in for fun. But why, you say, another modpack? Well good question. Most modpacks are groups of mods that the creator of the modpack likes, so with each modpack you get a slightly different grouping of mods. That's one reason and the fact that we have been doing this for a while and enjoy it.
This pack is made for those people that just seem to have issues getting everything installed and running together. If you have the ability to install these mods then by all means go to the mod authors threads and download them and do it yourself.

Downloads

for MC1.7 by Novamanga

Installation

Show
1. Download the Vanilla Sphax Textures.
2. Download the DNS Texture Patch, from above.
3. Open both .zip folders in WinRAR, or equivalent software.
4. Select all files/folders in the DNS Patch and export them into the Vanilla Sphax folder.
5. Open up the DNS techpack installation folder. (.minecraft, or your MultiMC instance for example)
6. Go into the 'resourcepacks folder.
7. Place your new .zip folder in there.
8. Open Minecraft
9. Select Options > Texture Packs > Sphax
10. Enjoy!

Warning: If you select the pack and it does not load (textures stay on vanilla) then you need to apply more RAM when loading your profile in the Minecraft launcher.

The root directory of your archive contains some files from the base Sphax pack. Remove those and you're good to go :)

Whoops! Forgot about those.

Fixed! :)

I myself won't be doing a 64x port, sorry. If someone else does I will gladly add it to the topic though. :)

Narf! Signature for tools! Have fun. :)

EDIT: Hrmm... may be a fantastic idea to inspect the patch for default-sized textures before you resize or those parts will be far smaller than 16x when you downscale. >_> Or the poster/authors could get on that for all of us... just saying. <_< (working on it in the mean time)

EDIT: Nvm... several of the textures are undersized. I'd have to go through every one of them and delete the rejects. Rather build my own patch in all the same size then downsize. Otherwise, significant loss of quality on some textures.

SUPER EDIT:

Here's a little help with weeding out the under-scaled parts. I put together a little repack of the Better Furnaces patch. Feel free to re-release it separately from this pack patch. It's for mc1.6 and the textures have resolutions of 128x type. If you want to rescale, see the tools in my sig.

I found an old post in the archives that had yet to resurface, so I posted this repack here. I'm not gonna be official about this; deal with it.

Link-ed:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/fu2ruyjc477t4 ... Repack.zip

Next, a repack for Better Storage. Again, no recent official posts found. For mc1.6; 128x resolution (upscaled, had no other choice). I suggest, if you want 64x or under for this patch, use the second link for the 64x originals I repackaged as well; otherwise, significant quality drop.

64x
https://www.dropbox.com/s/zga1p0mvewgb4 ... %2064x.zip

Want more? Here's a repack for Bibliocraft. MC1.6, 128x (mostly); based off archived textures. Checked for defaults and non pngs and cleaned.

Link:

I'll likely continue to stockpile these individual patches until I get a full pack patch. Don't expect me to post more indiv.s until I can post in at least are request or WIP thread for the mod.
Resize trouble?

Have fun. :)

I have no idea if this is the right place to put it, but I have no idea how to install Sphax for the newest DNS techpack. I know on the DNS website, MadCock has posted instructions on how to do it, but to me, they aren't very clear, so i'm a little stuck. Suggestions or help is appreciated!

Hello, I've moved your post to the official DNS topic. Any questions or concerns you have about the DNS pack, please ask here. Since you need help installing, go ahead and take a look at the Installation section of this topic and also have a look at the official Guide here:
