Ok just follow this tutorial and it'll tell you how to install the patch.

1. Download the original Sphax PureBDCraft texture pack for MC 1.6.4. For best visual results, download the same size pack for both texture packs.

2. Download this texture pack

3. Open both .zip texture pack files - copy and paste this texture pack into the original Sphax texture pack.

4. Place this newly created texture pack into the folder: *installation path*\crashlanding\minecraft\resourcepacks

5. Run FTB: Crash Landing 1.6.4

6. Goto: Options -- Resource Packs -- and select the Texture pack.

You don't have to modify the zips :)
Just extract them in the Resource-Folder in .minecraft (ore were ever you have put MC in).
This is also the better Variant for Systems with less Ram. Because MC will load the hole zip, regardless of which textures are actually used. But much texturepaks contains alternate Versions of texture, with don't have to be loaded in the RAM and vRam. And this will be true, if you unzip the texturepaks. Then MC will only load these textures with are actually used.

You do need to combine the patches. You can only have one pack loaded at a time in 1.6.4

Nhawks17, you may want to add a "How to Install" section. Avoid the headaches ;)

Also ChaoGirDir was referring to the fact you can unzip both the main pack and any addons in to a folder in the resourcepacks folder and it'll still be read as a pack, but it'll ignore textures and files it doesn't need (such as mcpatcher/optifine stuff). Saves ~30MB RAM (possibly more if there's other 'useless' files).
