Uh, this is a really nice patch, but I can't seem to get it to work. I've patched the right Sphax version; when I use the normal Sphax with no mods it works fine, but as soon as I add the Hatpack patch, it just switches back to the vanilla textures.
I've tried it with and without Optifine, and it doesn't work with either one. I've allocated up to 6.0 GB, but that doesn't do it either. I've actually been having the same exact problem with ALL Sphax Mod Pack patches for 1.7, whether it be Resonant Rise or my own blend of mods that I've patched myself. So...yeah.
Is there any way to get this patch to work?

You say you've "allocated up to 6.0GB" of RAM to FTB - what's your total RAM amount? If you have 8GB, you're allocating far too much as it leaves your OS and other background programs with nothing to 'run off'. When you're adding Optifine, make sure it's the correct version of Optifine for the build of Minecraft mod pack you're running, otherwise it will crash. If you have an error logs feel free to post them, they can be found in your ftblauncher folder wherever you've saved it.

My laptop has 12 GB of RAM. It doesn't crash when I try to use the patch, it just reverts back to the default textures, but here's the 'latest' log from the logs folder:

How are you patching it in? Manually (by combining the two packs), or automatically (using Minecraft's resource pack manager)? I use the automatic method and it's worked like a charm for me with 4GB of allocated RAM.

I've used 7zip to combine patch it manually, which doesn't work, and I just tried to patch it using the manager, but unfortunately it still won't work.
I have no idea what to do.

CrowTheRed, you say you've got 12GB, but are you sure you're assigning enough to MC? You've cut out the useful bits of the log and the bit you have included is an indication you're running out of RAM:

I've now tried turning the FTB Launcher's RAM usage up to 11 GB, but it's not doing anything.

You need to post your full log to dropbox or pastebin so we can see if it's definitely doing what it's meant to.

Not sure why MC1.7 is being such a stumbling block for some people. It's bewildering how Mojang can continually and persistently make a game worse...

That's bewilderingly annoying. The part I'm expecting just doesn't seem to appear in the logs... which is odd, because I asked for logs on the Hatfilms forum and someone posted one with what I did expect...

Going to have to do it the old fashioned way I guess... Can you load a world, press F3 and take a screenshot? Basically just looking at the numbers in the top right of the screen which is the used/assigned RAM/memory. If it's assigning correctly it'll say something similar to xxxx/11000 MB (or so).
