Revelation is a general all-purpose pack that is designed for solo play as well as small and medium population servers. This pack contains a mix of magic, tech and exploration mods, and is the largest pack ever built and released by the FTB Team.

How to Install

Please understand this is an addon for the PureBDcraft texture patch which will need to be downloaded separately here. Place both of these in your resourcepacks folder and select both to get the textures in game.

Known issues
1. Make sure you have allocated enough RAM to the game to run a large texture pack. This will vary depending on the resolution you have selected. The numbers below are a guide and need more or less depending on your computer.

128x - This will usually require Optifine to work and at least 14 - 16 GB of RAM allocated. Optifine may cause rendering issues. If this is the case download the 64x version and remove Optifine. If using Optifine and the textures do not load try turning off mipmaps in your video settings.

64x - Allocate 8 to 10 GB.

32x - Allocate 6 - 8 GB

If after using these you still cannot get the patch to run, use a lower resolution.

2. When selecting the new packs the first time the way the Texture Atlas (The large sheet Minecraft transfers all the textures to for use in game) may not form correctly, causing textures to appear in the wrong place. Restart the game, this will let Minecraft load the textures on to a clean Texture Atlas and hopefully will fix any glitches.

3. For any other issues please see the Help Centre page.

You sir, seem to be single handedly keeping sphax pack releases alive. I just want to say thanks for all your hard work. As soon as I go to play a new pack the first thing i think is "I wonder if nova has released a patch for this one yet." And sure enough, you have :)

Try allocating more RAM, but understand that sometimes it just won't work no matter how much RAM you allocate. I've found it might work for some people but not for others. It's just the way JAVA works.

That's why there are the 3 sizes available. Usually 64x works for most people.

Am I the only one that seems to be having a color mismatch between the standard Vanilla stone/ores and the modded ores?

Image

I know the stuff above is not plain stone, but there is plain stone in the picture.

Using the latest modpack patch, and the latest PureBDCraft for 1.12.2. Also using More 3D blocks, but that shouldn't matter.

EDIT: It was Optifine's Custom Colors option.

Wanted to confirm that there is a problem with the x128:
Error: net.minecraft.client.renderer.StitcherException: Unable to fit: tconstruct:items/shortbow/limb_top_netherrack

There is no texture for the netherack within the texture pack. This is created by the Tinkers Construct Mod using the base textures. Chances are you have hit the texture atlas limit. Try allocating more RAM to minecraft or use the 64x pack.

I've also been getting the same error (For the 128bit pack); thought that maybe this pack was outdated but after looking at your created/edited dates only a few mods were left out.

I have 14GBs allocated for Minecraft and I'm getting the same errors.

Edit: Wanted to add that when changing to the pack from within game, it loads up fine. It's during the games initial startup (after already setting the resource pack up in a previous session) that Minecraft poops itself.

-- edit --

Just noticed there's a new Beta version of Connected Textures mod, only change is that it fixes a crash mods cause when textures reference self. After installing that update, 128 is loading fine.

Hey All,

Long time no see, eh!?! :) I'm creepin' around still. So, let's talk a few things brought up in here:

#1 - Texture packs by themselves do NOT cause crashes in Minecraft. Why? If a texture is missing completely, it doesn't load. If one is incompatible (?), Minecraft will revert back to the original provided by the mod/game OR will if no texture exists will use the black/pink block...the only issue that a texture pack can cause is an overload on memory.

#2 - In reference to @GreenGhost21, you can resolve this issue by turning off "Custom Colors" in the video settings.

Hope this helps! :)
