O_o, I am so confused, did Rednic pass the hat on to you, LightHero, for managing this texturepack? I was under the impression Rednic was still working on it. See what I miss when I stop playing minecraft for a few months? :p

lol...well, if you want the truth, you can blame it all on Aedaeum! :) Rednic was MIA for a little while, so, I updated the pack and posted it on the forums. Then Aedaeum handed me the reigns.

oh as far as Optifine goes ... it has gotten worse lately, not only does it clash with huge texture packs now, but now it directly clashes with multiple mods, due to everyone else conforming to Mojang and Forge API, and Optifine brute forcing its way into the Minecraft code. It is looking like either Optifine will have to rewrite his code (which he won't, he has made that clear) or Optifine will go the way of the dinosaurs as it is no longer a viable option in modpacks for 1.6.x and newer.

ya - the best I can do for Optifine on MC 1.6x is get it to work nicely....however, a lot of entities (chests, mobs/self) textures 'disappear' in part. For instance, the top part of the chest will disappear...it sux, but, at least that's better than nothing...or wait, maybe its not, cuz, I still don't use it because of that LOL :( Ya - I believe Optifine will go the way of all the earth! :o Any alternatives that you are aware of? :)

I have downloaded all of the necessary files for the pack, and have patched them correctly (I've done it with other patches and it works) but when I try to load this in Unleashed, the game freezes for longer than normal when switching texture packs, then reverts to default. I tried 64x and 128x and neither worked. This has nothing to do with system performance, as I can use Soartex perfectly fine, yet neither of the Sphax patches seem to work. Can anyone help?

Regardless of performance, optimization is always an issue for Minecraft. Could be that there are a greater number of textures to be loaded in the pack and Minecraft just gives up. I'm currently playing with DNS Techpack - has over 200 mods - and I usually have to go down to 32x to get any kind of decent performance in game. Also, you could try giving the FTB launcher and pack more memory to run with; I usually gave it 6gb out of my 8 and it ran fine with Sphax 32x. Another thing, older versions of Optifine tend to screw a few things up; you may wish to try disabling Optifine if you have it installed. I know that Tinkers Construct and its many, many textures tends to give Optifine problems while loading them all; was one of my sticking points with Unleashed.

Sorry if none of this helps, I've mostly moved onto 1.6 and my experiences with older packs tend to blend together after a while, hard to remember.

Optifine will not allow you to load all of these textures. I have to disable WRE IF I want to use Optifine with this pack. Optifine is not supported by FTB and has issues due to this reason...actually, it's Optifine's fault and will probably wither away - if you are not using that, please provide more details and some screenshots would definitely help! :) When someone posted ss's for me on another post, I found out he had d/l'd the Sphax base pack for MC1.7 instead of 1.6...the pack works fine as is - something is bugging it out for you whether it's not enough RAM assigned, Optifine, or other issue.

@ Michaelw1015 - I can, I do not have an ETA on this - you can, however, do it yourself - look at lifeseeker's signature just above our posts on this page - he has links to GIMP and the plugin that others claim make it easy to resize on your own! :)
