Ah Ok. Sweetas tried Gimp2 to open it this time and it did. Kind of like an animation file I'm guessing!

Do you have any reports ? Does you minecraft crash ?


BTW: Are there any new information about the Optifine/Spahx unleashed texture pack problem? So far i am always deleting the texture i am not using because FTB unleashed (optifine[?]) can only handle a decent amout of textures. (I guess here is the problem discussed as well: https://bdcraft.net/community/pbdc-help/ ... -t737.html)

Maybe thats your problem as well MrSeanCZ. Try to delet some large texture folder out of your texturepack. But your problem sounds a little different.

Can't use this patch, when I select it in the "Texture Pack" its loading a normal time, but when the loading is finished, the texture pack hasn't changed / set to normal without any cause. There is also nothing in the console about it, only some missing texture.

Verifying this. Tt doesn't seem to recognize the pack as a proper texture pack.

If it's not changing it's likely you don't have enough RAM or VRAM available to use it.

Either assign more RAM or use a lower resolution of the textures (if available).

Did you take the contents of the Unleashed patch and copy them into the full 1.5 release? It works fine this way.

Having the same problem. With optifine enabled I'm getting a lot of missing textures errors, and the texture pack just stays on the default. But with optifine disabled everything works perfectly. The only thing I've noticed is when breeding trees there doesn't seem to be any textures for the changed leaves. I'm not sure if this is because optifine is disabled or if these textures are just not in this pack.

This is also what happens if you try to switch to a pack that would result in the "ArrayIndexOutofBounds 1024" error a lot of us are having, and which is apparently caused by running Optifine with more textures than it can handle.

To test this, open the "options.txt" file in your install directory and change the "skin:Default" entry to the name of the texture pack in your texture pack folder, including the extension (e.g. "skin:SphaxTextures64x.zip"). If your problem is this "ArrayIndexOutofBounds 1024" Optifine issue, you'll crash before the title screen when you next start Minecraft, and the crash screen will display that error.

To be clear, this is NOT a memory/RAM issue---at least, not in any way I understand it. It appears to be directly related to the number of texture .png's in the pack, regardless of size, resolution, or amount of RAM committed to java. I get the crash using a much smaller (in memory size) texture pack than one that works fine; the difference is, the larger (non-crashing) pack has less texture files in it. Allocating more memory to Java doesn't change things; I've even tried moving my save files from the RAMDisk I was running them on over to my hard drive to free up even more memory, with no effect.

Four posts to the Optifine thread on the Minecraft forums have gone ignored. I've been forced to abandon Sphax textures at this point, which is unfortunate.

Forestry tree breeding mechanics changed recently---you need to craft a pair of spectacles and wear them to reveal the pollinated leaves.
