This is also what happens if you try to switch to a pack that would result in the "ArrayIndexOutofBounds 1024" error a lot of us are having, and which is apparently caused by running Optifine with more textures than it can handle.

Have tested this, the error occured. Thanks for giving me the reason why this is happening.

Attention ANYONE Experiencing NEI ID Errors AND/OR Optifine w/ Sphax Crashes:

--NEI--

Show
Upgrading to FTB Unleashed 1.1.3 DOES fix the issue!

Make sure you create a backup of extra mods you installed and/or world saves, as these are all wiped when updating.
I also recommend installing Optifine.

Upgrading to FTB Unleashed 1.1.3 is STRONGLY recommended.

I also recommend installing Optifine.

Note: If you would rather download the finished modpack and skip steps 1-3, I have the 128x version available in the downloads section of this post.

Steps:

1. After installing Optifine, Download a fresh copy of Sphax PureBDCraft 1.5.2 on 128x or 64x.
2. Next, download this patch and open both .zip files you downloaded with Winrar and put them side by side.
3. In the window opened for this patch, navigate to the mods folder and delete the "railcraft", "portalgun", "thermalexpansion", and "xreliquary" folders.
4. Now drag the contents of the patch into the window you have opened for PureBDCraft.
5. Run the game!

Note: There is a chance that you may encounter terrible FPS, in that case you should consider using the 64x texture pack or delete these additional folders: "ic2", "forestry", "factorization", "ironchest".

I also got (kind of) and alternative fix for those who dont wanna lose textures and still wanna use optifine. If you use mcpatcher to install optifine and forge and delete bir.class from optifine folder you can use the full texture pack at the cost of a few optifine features (from what I can tell you cant set the fog distance, cant zoom, cant modify connected textures and the like ingame but you can with mcpatcher but everything else seems to work; loading ect)

Xophox, I just want to be clear no some points.

1.) Are you just removing some textures from the pack or are you also adding some textures to the pack? Because I and some other people here have been removing textures to avoid the crash. Nothing else.

2.) You are mentioning Unleashed 1.3.3. This version does not appear for me. The most recent version I can see is 1.1.3. Can you please double check the versions and if you actually got a hold of a 1.3.3 please describe how you got a hold of it.

------

Wackedoutdj, your fix works for me. Could you please tell what is in the bir.class file that is to be removed. I was hoping to find a java code in that class (as is usually the case with .class files if I am not mistaken) that would at least on some level tell me what is it doing. Instead it seems to be a binary file.

FTB Unleashed 64x's link has been updated, and hopefully should function as intended once more.

None of the texture packs work or load.

You only copied the patch into texture pack folder instead of applying patch to texture pack and then copying the resulting file to texture pack folder.

Click for instructions.

I am removing the textures from the pack, not adding them, sorry if that was unclear. I also edited my post to reflect version 1.1.3, which is what I meant. I apologize for the confusion.
