How to Install

Show
Please understand this is an addon for the PureBDcraft texture patch which will need to be downloaded separately here. Place both of these in your resourcepacks folder and select both to get the textures in game. Ensure the modpack is above the base texture pack to get door textures to show correctly.

Known issues
1. Make sure you have allocated enough RAM to the game to run a large texture pack. This will vary depending on the resolution you have selected. The numbers below are a guide and need more or less depending on your computer.

128x - This will usually require Optifine to work and at least 14 - 16 GB of RAM allocated. Optifine may cause rendering issues. If this is the case download the 64x version and remove Optifine.

64x - Allocate 8 to 10 GB.

32x - Allocate 6 - 8 GB

If after using these you still cannot get the patch to run, use a lower resolution.

2. When selecting the new packs the first time the way the Texture Atlas (The large sheet Minecraft transfers all the textures to for use in game) may not form correctly, causing textures to appear in the wrong place. Restart the game, this will let Minecraft load the textures on to a clean Texture Atlas and hopefully will fix any glitches.

3. For any other issues please see the Help Centre page.

Thanks for this, I was using a cobbled together pack from other modpacks before.

There is a problem though, the connected texture for chisel are not working. I saw that this is a problem with the chisel texture pack not having the mcmeta data files in it, but that was fixed it October 2019 as far as I can tell/google. The only thing I can figure is the chisel or CTM was updated again and broke something.

I'll look into it as this appears to be causing issues with other packs as well.

Update - I just checked in game and I have no issues at all. Connected textures are working fine. There must be some setting in your game you have changed or are you using optifine? Also, did you replace your texture pack or just merge the one I made?

Not using optifine, but I re-downloaded and merged it into one file, some are working now, but some are not, like the "big fan" one on the factory block. that one has always been weird though. I know some of the chisel blocks don't have sphax textures either, because of some coding issue.

If it is crashing there should be a crash log. What is that saying?

Which resolution and how much RAM? The figures in the How to Install are a guide and not set in stone.

No, you need to read the text file it is linked there. In it you may see something that says unable to fit textures, use a lower resolution.

So the line that begins "net.minecraft.rederer...." That basically says your computer cannot fit the 128x pack as the texture atlas is too small at 16384 x 16384. To make this bigger you will need to add Optifine to the mods folder. Personally I would recommend dropping down to the 64x patch. This will work fine with about 10GB RAM allocated.
