The ultimate advanced progression modpack!

Focuses on providing the player a long term progression experience with purpose. It introduces a number of mechanics never before done such as: hiding ore until unlocked, dynamically hidden items and recipes based on progress, new mobs appear as you progress further and much more! The modpack uses the vanilla advancement system to guide the player along while still allowing an open, sandbox experience. As you progress through the hundreds of custom advancements you will unlock new "ages" which will show you new mods to work through.

Note

  • This patch uses available mods listed below in the credits.
  • It also contains some new textures I created for Pickle Tweaks.
  • Note that some of the patches may be incomplete and a few are migrated from 1.11, so YMMV.
  • Please post any problems you find so I can attend to them.

Installation Instructions

Show
  1. Download the main BDcraft pack from here (make sure you select the correct version of Minecraft you're playing and the correct resolution to match the patch you download!).
  2. Download the patch from this thread.
  3. Open your client and then click Options > Resourcepacks > Open resourcepack folder.
  4. Place both downloaded zips in the folder.
  5. Close and reopen the resourcepacks screen in game.
  6. Select both packs, moving them from the left to the right side of the screen. Make sure this patch is above the BDcraft main pack.
  7. Click done and wait for the textures to load.
    • Note: If your client crashes or the textures stay default first try assigning more RAM to your client, and if that doesn't work use lower resolution textures.

Sorry bout that. Dropbox traffic limits (I was not aware that was a thing). Looking into alt-hosting... will repost when fixed.

OK, try it again, but don't tell all your friends. :\

Hey I'm having problems installing the texture pack and the patch, I've tried the x64 and x128 versions and both have made my game either crash or sto responding. I'm not very sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm using the curse/twitch launcher.

Does it require the "Craft to the Future" launcher?
Because I am using the Twitch Launcher..

Also, what exactly is the patch? The "SevTech:Ages" Button?

Hi all,

TL;DR: I was able to get this texture pack working with Twitch launcher.

I was having trouble getting this pack working with the Twitch launcher (though I don't think launcher matters at all). When I loaded Minecraft with the SevTech modpack and tried to activate the texture pack, it would think for a while about it and then revert to the basic Minecraft textures.

Here's how I was able to fix it (I'm using 7Zip to edit zip files but WinRAR and others should work):

I'm assuming you know where texture pack files go and how to activate them following the instructions in the original post. I'm also assuming you are intelligently making backups and copies of all files before manipulating anything.
  • 1. Open the main Sphax 1.12 texture pack file and go into the assets folder.
    2. Open the SevTech texture pack file and go into the assets folder.
    3. Copy all of the mod folders in the SevTech asset folder to the main Sphax asset folder.
    4. Save and close everything.
    5. Put this modified Sphax texture pack file into the SevTech instance resourcepacks folder like you normally would. You now do not need to put the SevTech texture pack file into the resourcepacks folder because you copied all those textures into the main Sphax texture file.
    6. Run Minecraft with the SevTech modpack.
    7. Go to the Resource Pack options and activate the Sphax texture pack. This should now fully load and let you get into the game.
    8. IMPORTANT: Reset Minecraft. Don't just quit to the Title Menu, close Minecraft completely and reload. You must do this after making changes to the texture pack or you could get weird graphic issues. For me, the block breaking animation would show random images from the texture pack.
    9. Enjoy one of the best modpacks for Minecraft ever made (IMHO)! :)
P.S. If you are using the 128x version, my beefy computer (7700k, 32GB RAM, GTX 1080, 10 GB given to Minecraft) was sluggish until I downloaded and replaced the Chisel texture folder for the 64x version.

Hope this helps someone! :)

Trying this now. Will let you know if it works for me. Currently, it's taking a while to load the 128x version, might try 64x
