Download the main BDcraft pack from here (make sure you select the correct version of Minecraft you're playing and the correct resolution to match the patch you download!).
Download the patch from this thread.
Open your client and then click Options > Resourcepacks > Open resourcepack folder.
Place both downloaded zips in the folder.
Close and reopen the resourcepacks screen in game.
Select both packs, moving them from the left to the right side of the screen. Make sure this patch is above the BDcraft main pack.
Click done and wait for the textures to load.
Note: If your client crashes or the textures stay default then assign more RAM to your client or use lower resolution textures.

64GB DDR5 is not good enough? It get always resetet :(

RAM isn't really the only factor to getting Minecraft textures to work. The reason RAM is mentioned at all is that at some point during the initial loading of it a modpack will put a lot of information in to RAM.

However, the textureatlas itself (the big sheet with all the blocks and items in) is more reliant on the largest texture your graphics card can handle. That's why the second part of the note at the end says to use lower resolution textures if more RAM doesn't help.

Wow, that was a quick answer, thank you very much! :D

I don't use the full 64GB, I use 16GB (16,384mb)
I thought that would be enough :D What am I doing wrong? I just want to use the Skyfactory 4 modpack from the Curseforge modloader games and the BDCraft texture pack :(

Here are my stats if that helps

X670 motherboard
MAD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core
64GB DDR5 6000MHz Ram
SSD
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070

Those specs should be enough to run a 128x pack... but you never know. You might need to assign more RAM to Minecraft than 16GB.

The best way to figure out why it's not loading properly is to look at your from the logs folder after attempting to load the packs.

If you get an error like the following you'll need to try giving Minecraft more RAM:

Code: Select all

Caused by: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded
If you get an error like the following then you just can't fit the textures in to the one big sheet that Minecraft wants to create (this error can sometimes be "fixed" by disabling Mipmaps in your game's options):

Code: Select all

net.minecraft.client.renderer.StitcherException: Unable to fit:

What'd you do to piss off your Ryzen? :joy:

Anyways. You're sure you've installed 64-bit Java? That's a more common cause of people's RAM problems than you'd think these days, given how long computers have been 64 bit.
