v0.6 2022-09-17: Added Energy Control, fixed error texture on 'red terracotta', manually retextured 'white terracotta' - not pixel-perfect but gets rid of the strange tint.

Edit: Temporarily rolled back to v0.5 whilst investigating a crash issue.

It may be an issue with energy control? I’ll do some tests for you.

Appreciate the assistance! The link to v0.6 is still available here.

We seem to be able to prevent the crash by deleting a handful of patch files, not from any specific mod. Either that or removing the entire energy control patch.

"Unable to fit" errors are when you can't fit any more textures in to the game's generated textureatlas.

Removing textures from the patch is a band-aid solution... you just need to use lower resolution textures (or create a hybrid mix pack of 128x and 64x textures). Sometimes disabling mipmaps in your client settings also lets you fit more in.

If you're using OptiFine you can dump the textureatlas out by adding:

Code: Select all

-DsaveTextureMap=true
to your command line options / Java arguments.

It'll save the atlas to <instance folder>/debug if I recall correctly. You can then do the annoying task of finding out if some mods are using stupidly large textures for item or block models and fix them with custom JSON models :P It's what I used to do for Iron Chests (until at some point they fixed it properly). They used the entire entity texture for stuff and it wastes loads of space.

Hello! I'm having a few issues with the patch, I've installed correctly, increased RAM to 7GB and rebooted many times but the only patches that seem to have worked are the Railcraft and ProjectE textures. I tried changing to 64x but for some reason whenever I do that the game just boots out all resource packs, including the Matmos stuff, and the main menu turns into missing texture city:S Any ideas? 😅

Try raising your ram to 8-10GB if possible. Sounds like a memory issue. MC behaves like that if it can't fit all the textures on the texture atlas for graphics cards. If issue is something other than that, I don't know
Makes Sphax patches occassionally.

It's worth mentioning that people have had success running this texturepack on 4-7 GB (I myself use 7GB all the time, despite Tekkit 2 being rated for lower).

I have downloaded the below pack but it looks like for many textures it is not working. I have upped my RAM to 8GB with no change. I do not know if this is a texture pack error is currently the right thing to happen as it has been rolled back to the 0.5v

Nevermind, this was a UTS error...

One thing i have noticed is that graphs for power stored or world item spawn depth does not show. Is this something which can be fixed in the patch?
