Thanks for the patch. You should only include the changed textures in it though, as including other files may cause issues when the mod updates.

Also you should use a filehost that will keep your file longer such as Mediafire. Your link looks like it'll expire on the 1st March, 2024.

You could fix it for yourself if you copied everything from the pvXX folders in the pack to the assets folder and edit the pack.mcmeta to not have an overlays section.

Alternatively, don't use OptiFine and use Fabric mods that supply the same features as I got the CIT to work with CIT Resewn.

This appears to be a bug in OptiFine when a resourcepack is using the new resourcepack "overlays" feature. It seems for whatever reason OptiFine just doesn't look for the cit or mob folders if any overlays are present (overlays are used to support features when Mojang updated the pack_form...

How exactly have you installed OptiFine?

What's an example of another pack that has Random Entities or Custom Item Textures that works on 1.20.4?
