There isn't really much "new stuff". At least nothing that should cause any more lag than before.

I can only really suggest you make sure your computer and drivers are up-to-date.

Okay, sounds good. I appreciate the feedback.

My wife and I find the new 1.13 font to be hard to read at times. When the Customization Kit is updated for 1.13, could alternate "Fits with BDCraft but is more legible" fonts be included? Would anyone have "normally included TTF fonts with Win10 like Arial, try using that" font ideas? I saw https://youtu.be/f0b1E-T2g-k "Xisumavoid's how to make custom fonts" video, and I'm considering just grabbing Ariel already on my machine and seeing if it will do the trick. Or I may fetch a free "Comic Sans Narrow" or something and make my own. But others may find this problem, and a good alternate font for BDCraft might be just the thing for customization. :)

The font will be changing in the r2 release (although it'll still be the same general style). The TTF support is obviously still poor (some people crash w/o a message).

There are loads of other fonts you can choose from though. There's even a converter made in Java here on Hypixel that will generate an ascii.png from a TTF.

There's also the option of deleting the assets/minecraft/font folder even if you don't crash - the old ascii.png is still there in the texture pack, and I for one find it more readable than "komika.ttf", though I guess it doesn't offer coverage of characters outside the us-ascii range, for players that need that.

Actually Sphax agrees with that sentiment.

r2 will use ComickBook (which is the ascii.png) as a TTF with oversampling turned down (which might help crashes).

r2 should be out pretty soon, along with the updated customiser.

r2 has been released fixing a few minor bugs.

The font has been changed back to ComickBook, but it's still a TTF with lower oversampling (as stated before).

If you crashed before let us know if you still do.

The customiser has also been updated and the link can be found in the first post.

My game is still crashing when loading up the texture pack. What could it be?

My mother said she doesn't like the new panorama textures, and I'm afraid I have to agree - a bunch of mobs standing around on (or swimming above, in some cases) a black semi-reflective surface doesn't look that good to me when the old panorama seemed to be based on an actual in-game village. If you want to make a new panorama for 1.13, why not try to make it loosely based on the vanilla 1.13 panorama (i.e. showing a scene with kelp, a shipwreck, etc.), just with Sphax textures for the blocks and mobs? For now, I've deleted the relevant folder from my local copy of PureBDCraft.

Edit: adjusted wording a bit after watching a tutorial on panorama creation and looking closer at the images. I hadn't realized beforehand that the panorama images are connected together to make a single 360-degree view of a scene.

I've noticed in both the R1 and R2 1.13 Pure that I get lag after a few minutes in game. I turn off the resource pack and whamo...eveything speeds up. I've tried the 512, 256, 128 and the 64 and all cause the same issues. I have deleted all other resource packs to ensure that wasn't a cause.

Is anyone else experiencing the same problems? BTW I seem to experience this when I have other players with me on the local network and I am hosting the game...they are both playing with the default look.
