I'll see if I can get Sphax to fix those in the coming hours (it's 5am in France currently). Sorry about that.

Older links should now be fixed.

Got the christmas pack as I love playing with a christmas texture pack during december... however it bothers me immensely that it turns fences into laptops and whatnot, and certain items into furniture. I've already spent some time going through the file to remove the laptops and furniture (because it's making my survival world and builds look insane). Managed to get rid of the laptops and somehow left with nice christmassy fences, but the furniture items have been replaced by the big pink/black blocks of missing textures.

Would really love an alternate version for download where the MC items are left the items they are but then with a christmas theme (a fence remains a fence, but then with a bow, and not a fence turns into a laptop). Would prevent fdrustration for those who want to play survival mode MC.
Or a guide which tells us to remove which files without breaking the whole pack T_T

sorry if I'm being whiny about this, but had to vent :/

If Mojang extend the data packs to add custom blocks and items then it'll be cleaner in the future. Generally XmasBD is sort of meant for just a quick Xmas map, not a normal world as the point of the Xmas pack is really the extra stuff (and not just making it all snowy).

If you want to restore the "normal" behaviour of blocks you'd just need to get blockstates for those blocks out of the PureBDcraft pack and copy them in to place. If no blockstate for a block exists in the PureBD pack, then just delete it from XmasBD. The same rule would then apply to blocks and items in the models folder.

There probably are some things that might not change cleanly, but the vast majority should be "fixable" doing this :santa:
