When I use the texture pack there's a bunch of extra grass that isn't supposed to be there. There's a bunch of extra grass on top of the actual grass blocks that ins't actually there.

Does it do that on a single player world? You do appear to have some customizations (possibly from the server) which makes it look a bit odd.
I'd be surprised if you were the first person to notice this bug considering how long the 1.8 pack has been out now.

Yes, I do have a custom texture pack. I'll try downloading vanilla sphax and see if you same problem consists.
