Yeah I'm the same as HanFox. No Optifine or any other mods. Something must've been changed recently.

I love the new connective glass panes, unfortunately the corners gets all screwy for some reason...

This no longer seems to be an issue in MC1.9 (snapshots). So I'm closing this.
