x64 Hexxit issue

oday I tried installing the 64x pack for Hexxit; I downloaded the .rar of the Hexxit pack and the Sphax pack for Vanilla. I copied the contents of the hexxit pack into the .rar for vanilla and dropped the whole thing to the texturepacks folder in the hexxit appdata folder. When I run the game, I can go to options and open the texture packs tab and it will have the Sphax pack there, but when i click to use it, it temporarily slow the game to load but none of the textures are actually changed.

Did I do something wrong?

Try assigning more RAM to MC or use lower resolution textures.
