Hello, I tried out the customizer for MC 1.8, and I got it downloaded, but I can't get it to work. I feel like my process may be wrong, what I assumed would work was putting the customized .zip into the resource pack folder in the minecraft folder, along with the regular bdcraft zip, and running the custom zip on top of the regular bdcraft zip (my logic being the customizer said I'd need the regular pack as well). When I do this, all that happens in minecraft is the regular bdcraft pack shows up, but the custom textures do not.

If it's of any use, bdcraft itself is running on top of a resource pack which is only for sounds.

I am fairly new to the concept of texture packs, so sorry if I missed something obvious.

Thanks :)

That's the correct way to set it up.

Can you post a screenshot of your resourcepacks screen?

Side note: The first one does say it's for 1.12 but it works on 1.8 so I don't really bother with it.

Hm, odd, what about the in-game resourcepack option screen?

Also can you attach your Customisation patch to your post, please?

This is what shows up when I go to resource packs in-game.

Ah, it seems there's a bug in one of the files.

You can either edit your zip yourself, or re-download the patch.

To fix it yourself open the zip and find:

Code: Select all

/assets/minecraft/models/block/tnt.json
And delete line 3:

Code: Select all

	"parent": "block/block",
It's surprising that no one said anything sooner. That bug must have been there for years...

After I deleted the bad line in the json file, the patch no longer appears in minecraft.

I used notepad to edit the file, if that's of any importance.

If you can't edit the patch yourself properly, without breaking it I recommend you just re-download it from the customiser page.

Alright, it seems to have started working, I redownloaded the patch and it seems to be okay. Thanks for the help :)
