[HELP] How do I add a texture color to my Model

Alright I made a model, And im replacing Anvil with it. The only issue is, it comes out with the anvil texture, which doesnt really go along with the block. So Then I changed the ressource pack so I added gold and white, So then if I implement it in game, The model will be gold and white half half. But I want it to be specific so, a specific part is yellow, and a specific part is white. I know theres a way to do this, I just dont know.

In Cubik, select the element you want to change and then on the right side click on "UV". There you can specify the UV mapping for every element. If you load texture files before through View -> Load image..., you can see exactly how you have to map.
