Ah, thanks for letting me know. This should be fixed now.HeWhoSaysNo wrote: ↑03 Apr 2019, 23:53I'm getting the missing texture error for oak trapdoors, presumably from using the vanilla color for oak planks. (1.13.2)
The problem with this is that it could apply to basically every texture and to supply everything in 512x isn't very likely. Have you tried to talk to the modders to see if they can do it properly instead of just expecting things to be the default way? Resourcepacks, and the ability to replace textures with models, has been around for years now so there's not really an excuse for it.MauveCloud wrote: ↑04 Apr 2019, 17:26Feature request (mainly for 1.10+): full texture override option for netherrack instead of just a model json override to reference the alt texture.
Reason: some mods use the texture indirectly, e.g. Nether Prosperity Ore and Nether Inferium Ore (overlays) from Mystical Agriculture, Compressed Netherrack from Extra Utilities (adjusted saturation and/or lightness, I'm guessing), or Netherrack Speleothem from Quark (different block shape), and these pick up the texture from the main pack, even if I've used the customizer to choose a different one.
Indeed, you're correct. Fixed now. Thanks.MauveCloud wrote: ↑04 Apr 2019, 17:26Also, minor bug I just noticed in your customiser interface: for 1.9 and 1.8 it shows the "flesh" textures for Netherrack, even though afaik those versions of PureBDCraft only have variants of the "bubbles" textures. (the "flesh" texture was added for 1.10 PureBDCraft, right?)
I'm not so sure about that - looking at the textures changed by the customiser, I think only the netherrack texture has a significant chance to have overlays added to it.
Do you have a reference for how to "do it properly"? Otherwise, any bugs I file about this would likely boil down to "HanFox says you're doing it wrong", and I don't expect that to be convincing.
It really isn't up to me to supply any such information.MauveCloud wrote: ↑11 Apr 2019, 22:34Do you have a reference for how to "do it properly"? Otherwise, any bugs I file about this would likely boil down to "HanFox says you're doing it wrong", and I don't expect that to be convincing.
I'm not a modder, so I don't know where to look for this, or how easy it is for a modder to find it. If you won't (or can't) provide this information, then please don't ask me to "talk to the modders to see if they can do it properly".HanFox wrote: ↑12 Apr 2019, 12:54It really isn't up to me to supply any such information.
Changing the default texture via a model is a vanilla function of the game, and one which I would expect the game to somewhere store such information about.
If that information isn't exposed easily for modders that's a failing on Forge's part. If it is exposed, it's a failing on the modders part.
Okay, that's a valid point, and technically the textures are already supplied in the pack, I just need to move them around manually in my local copy (like I've been doing). I'll take this as "request rejected".
Some of those "utilities" could be added to the main pack, as they would benefit everyone. Some as alts, maybe.Romaq wrote: ↑27 Apr 2019, 12:56https://vanillatweaks.net/picker/resource-packs/
It would be beautiful if the techniques used in the Utility sections could be made "BDCraft-style", such as Directional Hoppers, Better Observers, and Redstone with Numbers. Or is this more a project for EskiMojo14?
