Random Mob Textures Issue

Okay so I'm having a small problem right now. I don't think there is anything actually wrong with the resource pack or how my folders are (ResourcePack/assets/minecraft/mcpatcher/mob directory/cat) I think the only issue is with the naaming. I can't figure out what I'm supposed to name the cat texture. I know how people say for example name the file zombie1, zombie2, etc. Though I don't know if I should name it ocelot1, red1, black1, etc. So if anyone could help, that'd be great.

The first Random Mobs skin should be [mob]2.png not 1.

1 is considered to be the default texture.

Okay so after reading that I would name the file cat2, cat3, cat4, etc.? So I don't need to name it red2, or black2?

You do need to name them red2, or black2. As there's no such thing as cat.png
