Slight thread Necro.

Is this still being worked on, as in adding the things added in newer versions.

Some examples of the missing items
Honey Comb items
flesh items
jared items
netherrack (overgrown)
turnip and seeds
cave rock, stalagmite and stalactite
white anemone
root
clover
koru
pixie dust
and great oak sapling

I really hope this starts getting worked on or picked up by someone, as it is an amazing mod and the texture pack really adds to minecraft.

Suuuure, we all know your real agenda. You're secretly implying Australia is better than everyone else. Must say it does look much more Sphaxy than the old one though, good job.

Haha, thanks.

If you download the Sphax textures for the Hexxit modpack (in the Releases for Modpacks forum), there are a TON of textures in there that you can just substitute in manually for many of the ones that are currently missing---Harken Scythe has great flesh item textures, Wild Caves has all the stalactites/stalagmites you could ever need, and there are a lot of organic items scattered throughout the various mods for things like flowers, roots, clovers, etc.

It takes a bit of time, but it's actually kind of fun---like going through a catalogue and picking how you want your world to look :)

Working on this right now as the missing textures have been bugging me. Almost have all he blocks done. Will post a download as soon as its finished. Also deleting all the .pngs that are no longer used. Will be a 128x only.

-- 10 Feb 2014, 00:21 --

DONE: Note sure if this is 100% up to date. It is based of BOP ver 1.6.4-1.2.1.416 which I use in FTB Monster. I also changed the holy cobble to use the actual cobblestone texture as it was using just stone. Then added the mossy version.
Show
Note the items has my alternate crystal textures. If you don't want to use them delete them before merging.

Those are fantastic! Thank you so much for what must have been a ton of work!

A few points/requests/questions:
  • Could you please provide the overlays you used for the Overgrown Netherrack images? I can then add them overtop of the animated Netherrack texture and provide them here.
  • The "root" image you're using is the same as the Liveroot texture from Twilight Forest, which is a common mod in most of the big packs out there. Considering roots are fairly mundane objects, maybe a modified Shrub texture, or even just browning it out/shrinking it/somehow making it more "drab" than mystical Liveroot might be better?
  • I've been using this hideous texture from Harken Scythe for flesh in the Bloody Heap, and damn does it look awesome, especially with the particle effects. I offer it as an alternative, tastes may vary!

Changed the root so it does not look as close to the Twilight root by removing the moss and darkening the wood. Moved the overgrown Netherrack blocks into an Alt_Static folder. Added the animated versions for all 3.

Added the meta files for the flow & still honey (missed those somehow)

I was tempted to use the eyeball version but, I went with the flesh instead of the eye as the block description was "flesh" and not "eyeball" lol People can choose whichever one suits their tastes. :)

Thank you 100%! It's amazing how just a few textures can throw off the feel of a world. +4 Image to you my friend!

All blocks with the ID 2006 have flashing white outlines. This doesn't happen without the sphax patch. Please fix.

Edit: Even the link from a few pages on doesn't fix the problem.
Ugh, I'm really starting to hate texture packs. I've had the most rotten luck today with almost every patch I've installed.

Never mind! Optifine has come to save the day. Great patch, by the way!
If you want some serious mountain-making-out-of-molehills, you could make the ores look a bit more sphaxy.
Next stop: trying to fix tinker's construct.. *cries in corner*
