hello. the resourcepack worked very well but the connected textures stopped working :( :s :'(

Do you have the CTM mod installed? The connected textures will only work if that is installed or is it just those 4 types of texture. When I made the patch some of the textures did not have connected textures. I'll check when I get home from work.

i have it installed, without resourcepack its connected.

if i open the resourcepack .zip file the cobblestone, glowstone, purpur, prismarine, etc have files for connected textures =/

Try allocating more RAM to minecraft. If that does not work try the next size down resolution of the textures.

My advice would be to back date to 0.2.1.35. That is the version I based the patch off. Dev versions are exactly that. Development.

I took the opportunity to prepare the PBR for those textures. It was a mostly semi-automated process but needed a lot of adjustment works.

Requirements:
Show

You will need a decent System to run Minecraft with these Textures.
Here are my Specs:
Intel i5@3400Ghz
32 Gigabyte RAM ==> dedicated for Minecraft is 16 Gigabyte but 12 work too (anything lesser will be, try and error).
MSI Radeon Vega 56 Air Boost with 8GB VRAM
I can run Modded Minecraft (200+Mods) with these specs including the Shaders and Resource Pack @30 to 40 FPS.

Installation:
1. Use Forge modded Minecraft 1.12.2 or compatible version (google for more details)
2. Install Optifine 3. Install shaders 4. Download Chisel 1.12.2 resource pack from this thread (scroll to most top)
5. Download this POM patch for Chisel POM 1.12.2
6. Copy both files into the Resource pack folder of Minecraft
7. Activate first the Resource Pack from Novamanga and then this patch for POM afterwards.

Minecraft including Optifine with active and decent working shaders. (I suggest for best results SEUS 1.00 new)
The shaders must support Parallax Occlusion Mapping. Continuum does not work.

As you can see on the second picture BOP needs some improvement.
Fully automated PBR generation has not that satisfying results.

I am for some reason really struggling with this texturepack on 1.12.2. Is that because I run 1.12.2, and not 1.12?

What does "really struggling" mean? Won't load? It lags? Things aren't textured?

Also, no, the minor points of a release generally have no baring on patches.

It means when I try to activate this resource pack, it loads for a minute or so, and then when the game picks up again every resource pack seems to be turned off and I am left with the vanilla look and feel of the game.

I play with -Xmx13G.

I have tried the 128, 64 and finally 32-versions of the texturepack, all with the same result. I use about 12 other 128-resourcepacks from this site simultaneously normally, it's just this particular one won't load (which is a major bummer for me, as i really like the resourcepack).
