Sophisticated Wolves

Aims to improve wolves in the games through a series of gameplay tweaks, AI improvements, and added features. The focus is not to have overpowered items or crazy abilities, but rather balanced additions that make sense in the world of MC. Essentially, wolves should be able to better respond to your actions and take care of themselves, so you don't have to consider them a liability when mining, exploring or fighting (description sourced directly from curseforge page).

Most importantly (texture-wise), the mod adds in 3 additional wolves known as the Forest (Light Brown), Dark Brown, and Black wolves.

Changelog

[July 16th, 2019] First release - for Sophisticated Wolves version 3.13.8 (MC 1.12.2)

Other Information

Show
Since this is my first time creating any textures, not all the textures are perfect so there is still some work to be done. For example, there is a slight gap in the texture for the pet carrier (that isn't there with the default texture) but I'm not sure how to fix this.

Credits

General Credit - Sphax (some textures are recolours/used for blocks like the kennel)
GUIs - Ironcraft456
Dog Treat Item - SPARKSTER (sourced from the Doggy Talents patch)
Whistle - Hachiseiko (I recoloured the whistle from the Chococraft 3 patch)

Made these up real quick...includes GUIs and one item + wolf textures. I did not include the pack.mcmeta file or anything, since i made this to be added to original files..

You shouldn't include all the asset files of the mod. You only need to provide files you've changed.

You have language files and all sorts in there.

I super appreciate the work, unfortunately, the GUI bars do not fill up as you fill the bowl with food, like it normally does without this new texture. Additionally, I think I have decided to just use the training treat texture from the Doggy Talents patch as the dog treat for this patch (credit to SPARKSTER) so I will be updating the pack shortly to include that.

Fine by me..i haven't actually tested any of it in game. I just slapped in the dogtreat texture to match gui..which is really just the bdcraft bone texture..i did build gui on top of original, so everything should work, but i'll look at it eventually..i used newest version of the mod to work off of..not sure if i have forge 1.12 anymore, but if i do, i'll try investigating..those guis can easily be modified.

I figured out how dog bowl works and i can see the issue, but not sure how to fix the issue. It can probably be fixed, just not sure how. I do have an option i can try, but it may not fix it.

I have solved problem. Issue was that i put the bone area in the beige area as not transparent. Original gui had transparency there..i figured it wouldn't affect much. I was wrong. Will update gui to match doggy talents item texture

Ok here: GUIs updated...i forgot to remove the non-textures folders before uploading again..also forgot to remove the dogtreat texture from first download...however guis are updated to match the doggy treats texture mentioned, and issue with it not filling up is also solved.

Thank you so much! Just updated the patch to include both the Doggy Talents treat and the GUIs! :)
