2GB isn't really very much. You have to keep in mind your Operating System is likely using about 300MB of RAM just to run, then you have whatever other programs using up more.

You may be able to use 32x textures, but that may still be pushing it depending on the amount of mods with textures.

You likely can't assign much more than 1280MB of RAM to Minecraft.

If it was working and suddenly stopped and nothing has changed in Minecraft then it would suggest something else is going on on your PC. Such as more programs running in the background, a need to defrag or check for errors or maybe some hardware dying.

You can try updating any drivers and/or Java.

You'll need to have a search for troubleshooting issues with your computer.

You can try posting on the MCF forums providing as much detail as possible as they may have some tips/tricks/checks you can do.

So I am having a problem with this where my minecraft launcher doesn't have -XmX2G. It comes up with this: -Xmx5632m -Xms256m -XX:PermSize=256m
What do I do in this case?
-Also I have 16 gigs of ram my computer just hates minecraft and doesn't want to let it have more than like 4G of ram. I need like 6-7 gigs.

Update: Apparently my computer (which is made for gaming) somehow can't handle the 512 pack... It can handle games like Just Cause 4 and be only at like 70% CPU, but minecraft still reigns supreme at killing computers...

It's Java, not MC :P
The Bedrock-Ed. runs fine, with 512x. But the Java Edit....
