-_-! Silly me. I hadn't actually made a lever in the new version of Minecraft. However, now that I have, I understand that thread better - it makes no sense for it to switch on by opening/disconnecting the contacts. Personally, I'm not that picky about whether the "on" state has the lever pointing upward or downward, as long as it's easy to tell whether it's on or off, and follows some logic as far as the electrical contacts. Also, I notice that only applies if I put it on a wall, which also changes the shape of the lever compared to when I have it in inventory, whereas if I put it on the ground, it stays the same shape as it looks in my inventory.
EskiMojo, who made the model, is adamant that it's meant to be on whilst not contacting. I would imagine the idea is when it's touching the contacts the circuit is shorted? Regardless, I can easily do an alternative. Are you suggesting it should also have the choice whether the model should change or not floor vs wall? Might be hard to make it obvious on the customiser.

Like this post (hard to find by searching (so I've bookmarked it), and I don't understand why Sphax won't even put in something like this as an alt texture): https://bdcraft.net/community/pbdc-ideas ... t3131.html
I think there might have been one or two other posts with redstone dust textures done in BDCraft style.
Ah, so yes, like metal dusts, etc. Pretty sure I can get it added to the main pack. It might not make it to the customiser until a MC1.10r2 release or MC1.11 though just due to how the customiser works behind the scenes.

I don't follow EskiMojo's logic there. I hadn't gotten as far as considering an option for whether it should change on floor vs. wall, but now that you mention it, that might be nice. In terms of it being hard to make it obvious in the customiser, it won't be the first - at the scale shown in the customiser, there are already some that are tricky to see the differences for:
1. Bookshelf
2. Crafting Table
3. Grass without rotation (I think you'd need a bunch of grass blocks together to see the effect)
4. Water (you can see the difference in the customiser, but seeing a single block of it is quite different from seeing a pond or ocean area in game to get a feel for how it looks when trying to decide which you'd prefer)

My only logic is that it looks better to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well I added the inverted wall lever... and a simple lever. For now I won't do the other possible lever comibnations.

MauveCloud, with the 1.10r2 release the redstone dust pile is now in the customiser :)

Sure. It won't appear on the customiser until the next release of the main pack though.

I tried using this, but the lava was the only texture that actually showed up. One of the textures I chose was the diagonal grass, and I could see through the ground as if the grass had no texture at all. After looking in the zip, I found that there were no textures in the block textures folder besides lava.

Have you actually loaded it above the main PureBDcraft pack like the page says? The zip provided isn't a full resourcepack only a patch to change some things.

Yes, I have. And like I said, the only PNG files in the customized pack I downloaded are the lava textures.
