Glass textures and the new ConnectedTexturesMod

I've read that some mods have difficulties with Optifine (Immersive Engineering in particular - I've noticed that the devs often quickly close GitHub bugs if they discover they're Optifine conflicts), so I figured I'd use this mod instead:

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be doing anything with PureBDCraft glass textures by default. Does anybody here know how to get that working?

It uses the mcmetas to define its CTM.

This is the one for glass blocks: ... png.mcmeta

The ctm file which that refers to is a special 32x32 you can see in the github alongside it.
