Connected Tiles

Hi Sphax,
I cannot remember whether it was part of your md or another but back in MC1.7.3 the tile colors would connect. ie:

/ G / |
/---------/ G
| G | |
|______ |/
The grass block, if connected to other grass blocks would be filled with grass texture on all sides and not show any dirt (unless you where beneath it. The same applied to other blocks. There is a mode "Connected Blocks?" I hope this makes sense to you.
Basically what I'm asking is, can you do this with your mods please?
