Those of you who are nostalgic for the early days of Tekkit (now known as Tekkit Classic), will love what awaits you in Tekkit 2!

With a collection of nostalgic mods and plenty of new improvements, Tekkit 2 is sure to capture the feeling of possibility and consequence that you felt while exploring the world of machines and contraptions that made the original fun. Keep an eye out for classics such as IndustrialCraft, ProjectE (Equivalent Exchange), Project Red (RedPower) and BuildCraft, alongside additions such as Galacticraft and Tekkit Jaffa Cakes! The world is yours to bend and exploit to your will, whether through alchemy or sprawling factories and mines.

  1. Download the main BDcraft pack from here (make sure you select the correct version of Minecraft you're playing and the correct resolution to match the patch you download!).
  2. Download the patch from this thread.
  3. Open your client and then click Options > Resourcepacks > Open resourcepack folder.
  4. Place both downloaded zips in the folder.
  5. Close and reopen the resourcepacks screen in game.
  6. Select both packs, moving them from the left to the right side of the screen. Make sure this patch is above the BDcraft main pack.
  7. Click done and wait for the textures to load.
    • Note: If your client crashes or the textures stay default first try assigning more RAM to your client, and if that doesn't work use lower resolution textures.

*As of Tekkit 2 1.2.2, The x128 'FULL' version is for NVIDIA 10 series and newer GPU's (this may change in the future).
It contains the maximum resolution of textures that were downscaled in the regular x128 patch pack due to atlas size limits.
If you run into any issues with this, use the regular x128 version instead.


Known issues

  • IndustrialCraft² Classic textures sometimes require a modpack restart once the texturepack is enabled in order to show

    • Fixed error texture on 'red terracotta' and manually retextured 'white terracotta' - not pixel-perfect but gets rid of the strange tint.
    • Downgraded Chiselandbits & Energy Control in the x128 patch to use x64 textures due to atlas size limit.
    • Also downgraded Galacticraft's parachest (block + model), buggy_storage and cargo rocket as part of fitting the atlas.
  • v0.7 2022-12-01: Added fix for JustEnoughResources graphs. Updated Netherending Ores, featuring additional ore textures.

Not sure if it's the recent 1.0.2 patch for Tekkit 2 but this addon causes my game to crash. Tekkit 2 with just vanilla BD Craft seems to function fine.

I can't seem to get the Water Textures in my game to use Sphax's. Everything added from here worked, but Default water textures seem to not be overwritten by Sphax, anyone else having an issue?
I actually can't find anyway to solve this, so I'll post here.

I've downloaded the patch at the same resolution as the main pack and added it to the folder but it doesn't recognise the patch file at all when I go to my resource pack files in-game, only the main one. I've gone through the instructions here for a second time and everything I tried didn't work. Any advice on this?

This was an issue where AquaAcrobatics was backporting 1.13+ water. The modpack author has disabled this feature, so you can 'fix' this problem by reinstalling the modpack (or it will be fixed if you've updated the modpack today).

Which resolution were you using? If you are using a high resolution, make sure you allocate more RAM (from experience, running on x128 is fine anywhere between 4 and 7GB though your mileage may vary.
If you're still struggling, I'd advise asking for help on the Technic discord server, tech-help channel, someone may be able to assist. Grabbing a copy of the latest.log immediately after replicating the problem would be a good place to start
