Here are two options for machine sides or tops. One is more true to the mod's texture and one is a little more interesting. Which do you think works best?

Also, I am having quite a bit of trouble with the helix texture, which is kind of an important texture for the mod pack. If anyone has the skills to bash that one out, it would certainly help!

Well, Here is my attempt At a Helix. I think it is adorable. Let me think what you think. I am also working on machine fronts, so hopefully I can get some of those up here soon.

I think the right is best for the sides and the left for the tops.

I would vote for the left texture. It seems as though they right is more of an older block type and as blocks have become more complicated and well-textured it is not used by very many blocks. It also blocks a good deal of the space of the block's surface.
Better yet, perhaps it would be possible to provide one texture using the frame and one without. It would be fairly easy as you could just disable the frame layer and save it as an alternate texture.
Nice work on the first few items btw.

The reporting feature of the forum is not for asking for your thread to be moved from WIP to Releases. Just post in the thread.
Anyway, the download link doesn't work so it can't be moved.
