So I did more mobs! :D
There's a new ridiculously oversized texture for the Flicker, a 2048x1024 texture for a mob smaller than a block... don't ask me why Mithion needed all of that blank space in all his modelled textures :D

Also the robed overlords are complete as an alternate skin for your mana creepers, just look in the mobs folder in the AM2 section of your texture pack!

And I also finished up the Mana and Water Elementals, just in time for your magical winter pool parties! :D

I probably did more, but don't ask me if I did, because hell if I know... perhaps it's time I start using that changelog *ahem*

Ahh sorry, the patch isn't dead! I've just slowed down a fair bit, I'm planning to finish up the GUIs before updating again :)

Patch isn't dead, but its certainly a bit lower priority as the mod author has decided to discontinue the mod after 1.7.10, so whatever work is done is entirely for the 1.7.10 modpacks and nothing else. Therefore, MikeZilla has slowed down a bit as there's clearly no rush to have everything finished for an update or 1.8, ect.

Okay so to let you guys know that I'm actually still working on this (however slowly that may be) here's an update for you.

It's up now, with pretty much all of the GUIs completed. The essence refiner may still look like **** but I'm not able to locate the .xcf that I made it in, and until I do I'll be unable to fix it up short of starting over. Off the top of my head all that's left of the GUIs is the Keystone, Seer Stone, Armour Workbench; although I'm pretty sure there's one or two left out.

Nothing else this update, I've been doing a few other things and lately I'm just forgetting to texture. I'll do my best to keep chugging out the odd few textures when I have the time though! For now though, ta-ra! :D

Hey Mike!

First I would like to say thanks to you, Sillyman, and everyone else that's working on this texture pack. I love AM2 and Sphax, and definitely appreciate having a texture pack on hand for this amazing mod... I created an account here just to say that and to ask for a little help on the texture pack.

On the first page with the download links, you state that they're incomplete and you have to merge them with the legacy texture packs. I downloaded the x64 new patch, and the legacy 128x you have listed and attempted to merge them and load them in the sphax. For some reason, the AM2 patch isn't showing up as an available resource pack. I thought maybe it was because the download links don't have a meta file, but I'm completely stumped on this one. I've also tried loading sphax x128 & x128 patch to go with the legacy 128, but that also didn't work. I've read through pages and pages on this forum trying to see if someone has already posted a solution to this but I haven't seen anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, and I've also double checked the folder tree to make sure it matched the required format.

Thanks again

-- edit --

merging all my sphax texture packs into the sphax base download caused the texture pack to not load at all. On the bdcraft forums it was said when this happened, there wasn't enough RAM. Tried it with 10GB ram, still didn't work so I'm not sure what's wrong with it there. I was able to load the texture packs when added individually though so that's the way I've been doing it.

-- edit again --

I took another texture pack, erased everything in the assets folder, and threw the arsmagica2 in there. It worked!! Gonna leave this up in case anyone else is as erm silly as I am and needs some guidance.

Okay I see the confusion you had, I'll just write a little guide to help anyone else who's confused:

I'll be assuming you already have Sphax for vanilla installed already

1) Download the Legacy patch, and then the patch size of your choice, let's say you're downloading the x256 one. (If you're not, just replace x256 with the version you plan to use)
2) Open the legacy patch in WinRar or 7zip (I personally would recommend 7zip, no annoying 'buy me' popups), then open the x256 patch in a new window.
3) Drag the contents of the x256 into the Legacy .zip and select 'replace files' if you get a prompt.
4) Find your resourcepacks folder, and open the Sphax .zip
5) In the .zip folder, you should see a folder named 'assets', open this
6) Drag the 'arsmagica2' folder from the Legacy .zip and place it in the 'assets' folder, making sure to drag it into an empty space. If you drag it over another folder you'll end up copying it into that folder, where the mod can't find it
7) Start up Minecraft normally, and select the Sphax resource pack; if Sphax is your default you shouldn't need to do anything!

And thanks Joma, I'm glad you like the work :D

Anyway, has the final version been released yet? I've been working on the OoT Retexture Project lately and haven't been keeping up with AM2, but I definitely remember saying I'd come to finish the patch once the final version was released :)

Mithion 10 hrs ago when asked if a bug was fixed: "... though I need to find the time to finish the rest of the release."

Don't think it's done yet but sounds like it's close :>

Don't suppose anyone has a copy of the latest version of this resourcepack? The mediafire links don't work.

I've tried merging the files together, however it won't pop up as an available resource pack
