That would be amazing. Is the series your watching druidz by any chance?
I just really love the mod, especially as part of RR3, and its a real shame its not textured yet. I hope I'm doing an OK job at it, its my first time doing a sphax patch.

Yep Druidz/Dinoz is what I've been watching. And yeah I love RR3 but I dont have fossils/arch partially because it's untextured but also because there is lag just around the dinos. And it looks good to me so far.
I've started with Spinosaurus though I'm trying to decide whether the pupils should be slitted (like crocs) or round (like birds)

That's a very good question! The slitted eyes will look more menacing, and more reptile like.

when it comes to the dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, I recommend trying to sphaxify the looks of jurassic park dino colors. Male T-Rexes would be green with black stripes across the back and females would be a brownish red color for example. Similarly the colors for the spinosaurus that are already in the mod would look ideal for a male spino while the JP3 spinosaurus coloration looks good for the female.

And as for the eye slits VS Pupiles that depends entirely on the animal. T-Rex and Velociraptor along with Deinonychus are fine with pupils because they are in the order Ceolurosauria which means they are more closely related to birds. Spinosaurus was from Carnosauria so it was more reptilian to some extent so eye slits would look better on he spino.

Thanks, I'm taking the Easter weekend off, then will be back on it next week. I'm not happy with the culture vat texture, and its not working right anyway, so will redo that. I hope you guys like the textures otherwise.

I tidied up your Dinopedia, it was a bit fuzzy:

Also, a lot of the files in your current zip are a solid 2MB. Might want to take a look at fixing that for the final release :)

Lol thanks, how did you do that?
I should mention the download is for the 512x while I'm developing it, I will put out other versions once its done/closer to being done.
How do I make the file sizes smaller without messing with the quality?

I have a lot of files that I can use to replicate things. Been doing this a long time :P

Can you not export PNGs from your program to be web-ready? If you can save a web-ready PNG32 it should retain its quality.

Even the files that aren't 2MB are still quite big for a single texture.

These are the 2MB ones:

If you can't figure out how to reduce their sizes I can do it for you once you're done. I have a whole webscript (PHP/Javascript/ImageMagick) thing I use.
