The Fossils and Archeology Revival mod is a great addition to Minecraft, it adds Dinos, prehistoric mammals & fish and a lot of new items to interact with your favorite Dino. As the mod is now in the RR3 pack, It needs a sphax patch to make it look even better.

If anyone else is interested in helping then that would be great.

I praise you for doing this. Many attempts have been made and only was half done. If you got what it takes (+ the spring/summer time won't hurt), then push it to the limit by getting this into releases.

Well I have these very basically modified (some just reused textures from Chisel and Vanilla BDCraft ofc) that I wanted to use for my Resonant Rise server with friends so the world gen wouldn't stand out so blatantly untextured

Thanks guys, I will use the skulls if you don't mind? I've already done the amber item so will just match the block to that. I'm working on getting out a very basic version asap, so eggs, DNAs etc minus the dino for now, as those are going to take a while to do. I will see how I'm doing by the end of today, and try and get some screenshots if I'm far enough along. If anyone wants what I have by the end of today, then let me know and you can test it out for me.


ETA: I'm in the UK, its currently 8.30 am, so I've got all day to work on it. I'm not in school anymore (I left that stress fest many years ago), so there's no spring/summer break to tie me down etc, I have all the time I want. Only limits I have are my concentration and pain levels as my health isn't good anymore. I'm serious about doing this as its about damn time it was done!

I don't mind at all, just know that I increased size of the 512x pack by Sphax (as well as carefully moving around the eyes to suit as well)

Also just to mention I'm from Sydney Australia and the current time is 9:53pm so how often I may be available to chat/send tips for making these textures as great as they can be is varied :p

Lol, that's fine. After increasing the size to 512 I decided they were too fuzzy so I re did them and they look much better now. I will put up a screenshot later, working on the trees and wood right now.

Yes, please! I've not even looked at doing anything with those yet, I was focusing on getting all the items done first.

I honestly don't even use the mod but I'm watching a series that has it and man it's hard to look at the terrible mob skins when the rest is nice and sphax (well the whole mod isn't patched).

Your blocks and items being sphaxified are super important so I figured if I threw in some help with the mobs it'll be less you have to focus on.
