For nearly a decade, the Thermal Series mods have been a cornerstone of modded gameplay. The Thermal Series is a modular series of mods, allowing players, server owners, and modpack creators to easily choose the aspects which they want and those which they do not, allowing it to fit into a variety of gameplay styles and worlds. As a set, the mods form a cohesive experience which greatly expands the Minecraft universe in a lore-friendly (but admittedly technological) way.

Note

As of MC1.16, this patch contains (or will contain...) all textures for the entire Thermal Series of mods. This includes Thermal Foundation, Cultivation, Expansion, Innovation, and Locomotion, as well as Tool's Complement.

You will also need to download the CoFHCore patch.

Just in case anyone is wondering, I'm now working through the content from CoFH's latest updates, including the 'new' content brought into the 1.16.5 Thermal Series through their new mod 'Tool's Complement'. Though this content is largely a port of content that was in previous Minecraft versions' of Thermal Foundation (and therefore textures already exist for this content), I have decided to re-draw these tools so as to achieve parity across a variety of my mod patches that use modded metal tools. My goal is that you can take say a bronze paxel from Mekanism, a bronze excavator from Tool's Complement, and a bronze katana from Spartan Weaponry, and have all these tools match in metal colour, handle colour, ornamentation, etc.

Edit: 19/12/2021 - Tool's Complement patch (v1.0.0.1 for MC1.16.5) is now complete. Unfortunately there have been some drastic changes for the rest of the Thermal mods that will require significant file restructuring by the looks of it... Classic Team CoFH... :man_shrugging:

Hi,
I have the two patches loaded, but still this Image is how it looks now. Are they meant to look like this, or did I do anything wrong?
The patch for cofh core looks wrong I think. Image

I am playing v1.16.5.

Looks like you've got onions there, is that correct? Those haven't been textured yet.
Think those might be radishes in the back, they should be textured, though...

If you're using the latest versions of the Thermal Series (the ones released in December of this year, i.e. v1.4), then most if not all textures will be broken for the time being as the devs haved changed the file structure again, so most/none of the old file locations still apply. This will be fixed in this patch's next update.

As for the CoFH Core patch, I'm not too sure as that isn't my patch, but it may well not actually be broken. The red colour around a resource pack on the resource pack selection screen simply tells you that the .mcmeta file for that pack is out of date. It doesn't necessarily mean that the pack is broken, but rather just tells you "hey, this might be out of date now... any issues in-game and that is probably the reason".

Yup, I've been planting most stuff I've found and onions and radishes has been there :) Is it really just 1 download for all thermal mods? I don't have locomotion (the mod installed), could that be why nothing from the thermal resourcepack works?

Nope. That's not the reason. As I said before, I haven't update the Thermal Series patch yet, and the newest versions of the mods changed the file structure for all textures drastically. You'll just have to wait a bit for me to update it.

Looking forward to see what this and mekanism looks like in the future, so far they both look amazing Llama!

Quick edit, does anyone know a rough timeline for thermal series and mekanism patch updates? Im not trying to rush anything at all, so please take as much time as you need Llama, im just curious :)

I know it's annoying af to hear, but [it'll be done when it's done]TM. The reality is that I basically only get to work on stuff like this on the weekends, which is also the only time I get to actually play as well. I work on the stuff that I'm using in-game at that particular point in time, unless I have a good reason otherwise or a specific request from someone. Right now I'm doing more work on stuff like Autumnity, Astral Sorcery and Spartan Weaponry. If you have a particular thing or two from a mod that you would like done though, I'll be happy to take a look. [no promises]TM.
