One question. Do I extract the folder or do I leave it zipped?
You extract the folder.

Thanks. I hope this works. I'll tell you if it does. Also.... do you put the Additional Textures in the assets folder of the Witchery Texture Pack?

All you have to do is:

1. Download both 1.6.4 sphax purebdcraft pack ***x and witchery ***x patch.
2. Open up the sphax resource pack in zip editing program. (e.g. Winrar, 7zip)
3. Drag the assets folder from witchery into the sphax pack assets. From there the work is magicly done for you.

-----If you see no assets folder in the witchery patch, it means the patch owner has not created the correct line of folders, and therefor will break both the resource pack and the patch.

If so i recommend the patch owner changes to this setup:

assets
witchery
textures
blocks items entities etc.

Do I need Winrar or 7zip because I can open the pack and the patch just fine.

Shouldn't matter. Both programs are zip and rar compressor and archiver. I personally think winrar is easier to use though.
