MC1.13 - The Aquatic Update
Welcome to the feedback thread for the MC1.13 release of PureBDcraft!
Get the downloads
here. You can see the changelog
here.
The team that created this pack is:
Sphax,
HanFox, and
EskiMojo14!
If you have any feedback, comments, ideas, or opinions about the latest version of PureBDcraft please post in the thread.
If you find any bugs please post them in the
Bug Reports section.
There is a customiser for the pack
here.
Issues we already know about:
Issues Pending Fix
- None currently
Fixed in Downloads
- When using OptiFine Grass/trees may be grey and textures may appear in the wrong place. Make sure your OptiFine is latest version
Won't Fix
- When glass panes are placed on top of other glass panes in a "step" design there's a hole in the top/bottom of the pane. This is because Mojang hasn't made the panes aware of other panes above/below them. We prefer those gaps over not being able to do a nice solid glass pane effect

Whenever I try to launch version 1.13 with the new resource pack enabled, the game crashes before ever getting to title scree. but whenever I remove the pack from the folder and re launch it works fine.
What could I be doing wrong? or what can I do to fix it?

Really need to see your logs. It's impossible to just guess what the issue is as it works fine for me and other people.

With the help on someone on Discord we've discovered that it's the TTF font that is crashing some people's games.
Open the pack zip and delete the folder:
We're not sure why it's happening, but I suspect we won't be the only pack having this issue as things go on.

Please add the original color of oak planks into the customization. This new color is a bit too peachy for me.

So I don't get the random crash after deleting my font folder, but after about 5 min of in game play it get's really laggy with the texture pack loaded. I figured with the update there might be more going on so I dropped down to 128, as I have run 256 for as long as I can remember. I'll get about 4 seconds of normal play, and it will lag about 2 seconds and continue on a loop until I restart or drop the texture pack. I experience no issues under normal Minecraft textures.

They're there to be used, but I have no idea when I'll update the customizer. For now you can replace them manually if you go to
/assets/minecraft/textures/block_alt2 and copy the planks from there.

Do you get errors in your log? Have you tried deleting the font folder anyway to see if that resolves the lag?

I did delete the font folder and even went to 128 to see if maybe all the new stuff was too intensive for my rig. The main error I get in the logs is that it can't keep up and is 41-60 ticks behind. That is the only thing that I'm seeing.
