I've never played with shaders before, but now I have a beefier computer than I had back then. Was wondering if anybody had any shader recommendations, as well as how-to install them

make sure you have Optifine installed or Iris I believe works too, once installed in the version you plan on playing, open Minecraft and in the video settings you'll see a shaders tab. thats where you'll activate the shader. Sildurs Vibrant Shaders is the best IMO, but there are several other good ones. After downloading your preference, stick it in the shaders folder and boom. It will populate and allow you to activate via game.
As I said, Sildurs is the best but if you don't want reflective water BSL is good too.
