so I see that somebody in the thread has created the Chimerite textures, but they only posted an image sheet containing many textures rather than a zip containing them in a ready-to-use format, can somebody cut them up into individual files and post them in a zip?

nm, I'm an idiot, just involves slightly more work, though it would be nice if someone could gather up all the contributed textures Sillyman34 hasn't been able to add to the patch and post them in an individual zip.

Add *sarcasm* tags around everything I say. If that doesn't help *insane in the membrane* works even better. For example: *sarcasm* Mewcats go mew, thought you ought to know *sarcasm*
Not sure if you were referring to my post, but the image sheet was only a preview---the zip file in ready-to-use format was the button.BobertThe3rd wrote:so I see that somebody in the thread has created the Chimerite textures, but they only posted an image sheet containing many textures rather than a zip containing them in a ready-to-use format, can somebody cut them up into individual files and post them in a zip?
Here's my 80-90%-ish complete AM2 patch---but it's only in 64 bit. It does include fixes for the Rift GUI, and a really cool looking Chimerite Block (if I do say so myself) that isn't as garish in its animation as my first few attempts.BobertThe3rd wrote:... it would be nice if someone could gather up all the contributed textures Sillyman34 hasn't been able to add to the patch and post them in an individual zip.
It does include a few textures that are different from the main patch, so you may want to pick and choose which ones you use---though I did improve on my version of the Blue Topaz Ore block, and changed the Crystal Wrench so it looks less like a spear. I should also add that I yanked the Dryad texture from my personal patch---I find the default AM2 Dryad looks perfectly awesome in-world, and prefer it to the bikini-clad Sphax version

That Magic Circle looks awesome on the forums, I'll check it out in-game and let you know if there's any weirdness.
Here's the Keystone Receptacle. I basically just chopped up the Stone Brick texture and applied it where needed so it'll blend in with the multiblock.
Getting a Sphaxified version of the purple-glowy interior is far beyond my abilities, but I think I've made it passable with a bit of fiddling with filters and some blurring (though it looks FAR better in-game than in these images---it's inset into the block, and thus heavily shadowed ):

Here's the PSD:
The PSD includes a guide to how all of the inner purple glowy parts map onto the model in-game, which should make it easier on anyone who is Sphaxy enough to provide a more appropriate interior.
(Oddly enough, only about half of the purple-glowy parts in the texture file appear to be used in-game: As far as I understand it, there's only one "glowy hole" in the Keystone Receptacle, and its four walls + backing are accounted for using only about half of the purple stuff in the file. Maybe I'm missing another mode of operation or something, I dunno.)

The centre is a fancy pants Penrose tiling/tesselation. Which is coincedentally very pentagonal and sphaxyEunomiac wrote:That Magic Circle looks awesome on the forums, I'll check it out in-game and let you know if there's any weirdness.
I make sphax tutorials once in a blue moon
